Deloris “Dee” Paul, age 88, of Bloomington, Minnesota, and formerly of Granite Falls, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 27, 2025.
A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at 11:00 AM at St. Andrew’s Catholic Cemetery in Granite Falls, with a luncheon and fellowship to follow at Wing-Bain Funeral Home in Granite Falls.
Deloris Josephine Paul was born on September 8, 1936, in Granite Falls, Minnesota, the daughter of Harland and Ruby (Riley) Peterson. She attended school in Granite Falls and graduated in 1955, later continuing her education at St. Cloud State University.
Dee first married John Bergin, and together they had five children: John, Michael, Tamara, Suzanne and Sara. They later divorced, and she went on to marry Peter Paul of Jordan, Minnesota. Together, Dee and Peter had one son, Christopher. Dee worked as a bookkeeper for Northwestern Bell and later for Dayton’s.
She enjoyed crocheting, rug hooking, and knitting. A loyal sports fan, Dee loved watching football, NASCAR, and especially her beloved Minnesota Twins. When the team made it to the World Series, she always had her homer hankies ready. She also enjoyed watching the Olympics.
Dee is survived by her children, Tamara (Michael) McMahon of Lake Suzy, FL; son-in-law Scott Middlestaedt of Prior Lake, Sara (Robert) Crumrine of Chaska; Michael Bergin of Eagan; grandchildren, Jason, Angie, Rachel, Jessica, Chelsea, Kevin, and Eric; great-grandchildren, Harper, Ella Josephine, Ella Suzanne, Evan, Gabriella, Jayden, Jarin, Mila, Jaxon and Raegan; siblings, LeRoy (Jan) Peterson of Granite Falls, Marti (Arnie) Mohrman of Maynard, and David Peterson of Granite Falls; as well as many other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Harland and Ruby Peterson; children, John, Suzanne, and Christopher; sister, Rosemary; brother-in-law, Dennis Frandsen; and sister-in-law, Kathy Peterson.
