WATERBURY- It is with profound sadness that the family of Delshonda "Del" Jeffrey age 56 of Waterbury share the news of her unexpected passing on January 14, 2025 in the comfort of her home.
Del was born on April 14, 1968, in Detroit, MI to the late Jack & Mattie Fikes. A dedicated Vet Tech, Del was known for her compassion and expertise in caring for animals, a career she approached with unwavering dedication. Del was known for her warm hugs and her ability to brighten the lives of those around her. She remained positive through life's challenges, always willing to lend a helping hand and share her generous spirit. Her big heart touched the lives of many, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew her. Del will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for her love and kindness.
Del was married to David, and together they built a loving blended family. She is survived by her two beloved children, Shakiel and Ronald, as well as a granddaughter Nevaeh, a goddaughter, Shantel, who brought her immense joy. Del is also survived by her siblings, Darnell, Dianne, and Venro, as well as her best friends, Marianne & Pauline, who shared countless memories with her. She was a daughter, sister, mother, wife, niece, aunt, cousin and friend to so many.
The Jeffrey family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, February 1, 2025 from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. at Casey’s Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 1987 East Main St., Waterbury 06705. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Loving kindness is always welcome, and it only takes a moment to offer a message of condolence, words of comfort, or share a memory with the family and friends of someone important to you.
