Delta Lucile Bean (Burke), died peacefully at home on November 8, 2025 in Anchorage, Alaska. Following the death of her husband she moved to Anchorage to live with her son and daughter-in-law. She was 91 at the time of her passing. She will be remembered for her love of family and her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She worked for many years at Hanes Mill in Winston-Salem. She lived each day with the confidence she would one day see her Savior and live with Him in eternity. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Bean, Jr., to whom she was married for 71 years; her son, Allen Bean (Anne), and brothers, Howard Burke, Don Burke, and sister, Marilyn Jordan.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Barbara Bean; granddaughter, Melissa Worrell (Trevor); grandson, Gregory Bean (Arianne), and five great grandchildren who she prayed over daily (Kamden, Adelynn, Callie, Ellie and Olivia). She is also survived by six bothers and sisters and a multitude of nieces and nephews who all were precious to her. A graveside service is planned Jan 9, 2026 at 11 a.m. at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Winston-Salem.
