Delwyn "Del" Kragt

Del (Delwyn) Kragt, 57, died Wednesday, February 26, 2014 from complications of a motorcycle accident on July 29, 2013. Born in Holland to Frank and Aletta Kragt on January 10, 1957, Del graduated from Holland Christian and was a member of Park Church. He has worked for Prince Corp/Johnson Controls, Inc. for 35 years. Del loved golfing, hunting, riding his motorcycle, and spending time with his family. For many years Del has been involved in Area 12 Special Olympics, coaching his daughter's basketball team The Holland Hoopsters, and other sports. Del is survived by Beth, his wife of 37 years, children; Amanda Kragt, Adam and Mallorie Kragt and granddaughter Delaynee Kragt all of Holland. Other survivors include brothers LaVern and Carol Kragt, Harvey and Donna Kragt, and sisters Sandra and Carl VanWieren, Karen and Michael Meyer, and Beth's family Murvel and Bernetta Lambers, Berna Welling, Timothy and Marlene Field, as well as nephews and nieces. A service in celebration of Del's life will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 1, 2014 at Park Church, 1496 W. 32nd St. Holland, with Rev. Mark Quist officiating. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, February 28, also at Park Church.
