Demetria Ann Perry, affectionately known as "Dee Dee" received her eternal wings on Thursday, September 18, 2025 at her residence.

Demetria, "Dee Dee" was born December 17, 1971 to Render Gates and Carolyn Kay Perry Huff in LaGrange, Georgia. She began her education in the LaGrange school system until her family moved to North Carolina in 1986. She then continued her education in the Guilford County school system.

Demetria, "Dee Dee" was driven by a creative and resourceful spirit. As a resilient homemaker with a disability, she met each day's many obstacles and challenges with unyielding resolve. She had an infectious smile. Loved her family, cooking, entertainment, celebrations and fashion.

Demetria, "Dee Dee" was a "people person" who never met a stranger. She was caring, generous and kind. She was adamant and passionate about meeting the needs of others. She did not mind sharing the little that she had. Because of her generosity she was well loved in her community.

She was preceded in death by her son, Rahsheem Perry, father, Render Gates and her uncles, Anthony Perry and Larry Brewer.

She leaves to cherish her memories her mother Carolyn Kay Perry Huff (Tim) Greensboro, NC. Four siblings: Donna Perry, Antonio Perry (Lashunda), Melinda Cameron, Greensboro, NC and Tiffany Cameron Baltimore, Md. Two uncles: Reginald Perry, Greensboro, NC. and Minister Ronald Perry, (Karia)Iron Station, NC, Four aunts: Deborah Scales (Thomas) and Renee Perry Greensboro, NC, Lue Jean Brewer, of LaGrange, Ga., Dorothy Jean Williams, Cleveland, Ohio and Special family friend: Cynthia Hardesty of Greensboro, NC and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
