Demetrious Antonio Robinson, born on February 1, 1984, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Jamison Lovell Johnson and Lavearn Robinson, was a man of strength, resilience, and a caring heart. He passed away on June 1, 2025.
Robinson attended Saginaw Public Schools and later earned his General Educational Development (GED). He worked as a laborer in the construction industry for Pullman Construction, a job he thoroughly enjoyed as it allowed him to travel across Michigan. He was also a member of Local 1098 since 2021.
Affectionately known as "MEAK" by his family and friends, Robinson cherished his childhood memories, particularly his love for playing basketball and roller-skating every weekend at the Bridgeport Skating Rink. Later in life, he discovered swimming as a hobby and would visit the YMCA daily with his youngest son to teach him how to swim.
Robinson was the life of the party, always ready to make people laugh and be around his loved ones. He was a devoted father and grandfather, and they were his world.
Robinson leaves behind a legacy of love and memories for his parents, Jamison Lovell Johnson and Lavearn Robinson, of Saginaw, Michigan; his grandmother, Wintha-Jean Robinson, of Atlanta, Georgia; and his three sons, Jalin Ware of Atlanta, Georgia; Jayden Nash; and Demetrious Robinson Jr. (Deme) of Saginaw, Michigan; three daughters, Myah Trice, Gabriel Brazil, and Demetriana Bell, all of Saginaw, Michigan; and two grandsons, Kacey Antonio Blackwell and Kaycen Antonio Robinson.
Demetrious Johnson, a Saginaw, Michigan native, leaves behind a loving family and friends. He is survived by five brothers: Jamie Johnson, Torrey (Angelica) Johnson, Antwon Hampton, Elliott Robinson, and Kyler Johnson. Five sisters complete his family: Paris Robinson, Tiera Johnson, Ciara Clayton, Crystal Brandon of Saginaw, Michigan, and Mikkala (Clinton) Jones of Atlanta, Georgia.

His aunts include Shelia Robinson Douglas, Vernice Robinson, Melody Oneal, Latrice Sheppard of Atlanta, Georgia, Jacquelyn Robinson of Dallas, Texas, Linda Randle of New Mexico, and Maggie Crumpton of Saginaw, Michigan.
In addition to his fiancée, Alnisha Jackson of Saginaw, Michigan, Demetrious is also the beloved uncle of many nieces and nephews, as well as many cousins. He holds a special place in his heart for his nephews, Darrell Shirley of Saginaw, Michigan, and Gregory Hayes III of New York, New York.
Demetrious's special uncle is Herb Williams, and his special cousins include Brandy Jackson, Perr'A Jackson, Alex Oneal, Dominique Griffin, and Vanessa Hunt, all from Saginaw, Michigan. He also has special friends, including Maine Simms, Chyna Everett, and Jucowah Doster.
