And the peace of God which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7
In life we have pleasures with our loved ones, we have sorrows and joy but thank God for the memories death cannot destroy. For again, death has invaded the ranks of the Williams and Campbell families carrying away our beloved son, grandson, brother, nephew, cousin and friend-Demetrius De'Shone Williams.
The courageous life of Demetrius De'Shone Williams was born into time on Friday, July 28, 2000, in Benton Harbor, MI; this handsome bundle of love added great joy to the lives of his parents, LaTanya Britt and Edward Williams.
As the sun sets and the days beauty fades away, Saturday, March 15, 2025, in the city of Benton Harbor, MI, God called our loving social butterfly-Demetrius De'Shone Williams home to rest, leaving us the reminder of the fleeting nature of time and the importance of cherishing every precious moment with family. Demetrius was truly loved by all who met and knew him. He was kind-hearted, loving, funny and loyal to those he loved. Full of high energy, Demetrius enjoyed life to the fullest in his own way and always had a plan for his life.
Demetrius was reared in Christianity and later dedicated his life to Christ at Macedonia Baptist Church, South Bend, IN with the evident of water baptism performed by his father.
Demetrius was formally educated in the Benton Harbor Area Schools and South Bend Public Schools. At the completion of his educational journey, Demetrius worked in retail customer service as he prepared himself to become a professional truck driver.
Precious memories of Demetrius will forever be cherished by his parents, LaTanya Britt and Edward (Sherria Parchman) Williams; two brothers, Kenneth Britt and Edward Williams Jr.; his grandparents, Eva Harris, Harold Britt, and Angela (Charles) Felton-Sims; his favorite great-aunt, Mary Hampton; God-sister, Makenzie Muhammad; five uncles, Charles Williams, Phillip (Keisha) Harris, III, Demetrius Williams, and Glen (Joan) Harris; three aunts, Phyllis Harris, Maria Williams, and Keshia Williams; God-sisters, Briana Clay and Khaliha Thompson; and a host of great aunts, great uncles, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Phillip Harris, Jr. and Mac McCullen-Williams; his brothers, William Green and Demetrius Devon Williams; his sister, Eliexius Williams; his Godmother, Monek Willis-Finley; and his great-grandparents, Jack Sr. and Revender Campbell and Rev. Lewie and Varnie Britt.
