Loami - Dena Kay Bell, 52, of Loami, Illinois, passed away Friday, Aug. 23, 2024, at Springfield Memorial Hospital in Springfield. She was born July 21, 1972, in Springfield, the daughter of Carl D. and Della L. Alexander Bell Sr. Dena was preceded in death by her parents.
Dena attended New Berlin High School. She was a wonderful grandmother, and she loved spending time with her granddaughter. She was a great cook and a talented artist, and she loved gardening. Dena was also outspoken, and she wasn't afraid to let you know what was on her mind. She was known for giving advice, whether you wanted it or not.
Dena is survived by one son, Hunter L. (Emma Skube) Estes, of Springfield; one daughter, Jaden L. Bell, of Dallas, Texas; one granddaughter, Hayden Emmons; her longtime partner, Michael W. Emmons; one brother, Carl "Dean" (Tiffany) Bell Jr., of Waverly; two sisters, Dia A. (Aaron) Curtis of Waverly and Darlene J. Bell of Loami; three nieces; five nephews; and several cousins.
Cremation rites will be accorded. Services will be announced later.
