Wife, Mother, Grandmother & Friend

Denice Kravik-Dunne, 70, of Adna, Washington, passed away peacefully at her home on August 27, 2025.

Born June 24, 1955, in Seattle, Denice grew up in Edmonds, where her lifelong love of horses began. She attended Edmonds High School and later built a career with the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services, dedicating herself to helping elderly and disabled individuals access the support they needed.

In 1984, Denice married Joe Dunne and moved to the farm where they raised their family in Adna. She filled her home with warmth, humor, and the steady presence of horses - often five at a time. She was passionate about animals and shared that love generously with her children and community.

Denice will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and quick wit. She had a gift for naming things with a clever twist, and though she rarely got angry, her family knew that if she declared something "a bunch of banana oil," she meant it. She modeled patience, compassion, and resilience for her children, and her love for her family never wavered.

She was also a dedicated supporter of the Special Olympics, actively involved in community activities with her son and making countless friends along the way.

Denice is survived by her loving husband, Joe; her two children, Kelsey and Trevor; her two grandchildren, her brother and sister-in-law, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.

A celebration of Denice's life will be held at a later date. The family will share details once plans are finalized.
