Denis Hunady Obituary
After graduating from Ohio University with a bachelor degree in journalism, he joined the United States Air Force and was stationed at Westover Air Force Base in Chicopee, MA.
Dennis loved the outdoors, especially the mountains. He enjoyed boating, fishing, hunting, volunteering at his gun range and traveling. He had a love of reading, especially Science Fiction, and enjoyed watching documentaries on Bigfoot and UFOs. He enjoyed cooking for his family and friends and loved collecting and trying new recipes.
He will be missed and forever loved by his family and friends. Dennis is survived by his wife Nancy (Yarkey) Hunady; son Matt Hunady (Brandy); daughters, Pamela Hunady (fiancée Tim Stein), and Jennifer Knoerzer (Bob), grandsons Josh and Ryan Knoerzer; and brother Ronald Hunady.
A gathering to celebrate his life will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, August 1, 2024, at Brunswick Funeral Service, Shallotte Chapel.

Denis was our next door neighbor in Lorain OH when we were kids. I have lots of fond memories of him, his brothers and parents. I was saddened to learn of his death and send my deepest sympathy to his family.
