Denis E. "Mojo" Margelofsky

Denis "Mojo" E. Margelofsky, 71, of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, passed away on May 18, 2025 at SSM St. Agnes Hospital surrounded by his family in Fond du Lac. He was born March 9, 1954 to LeRoy and Adeline (Wondra) Margelofsky in Fond du Lac.
Denis grew up in Lomira, WI and graduated from Lomira High School in 1972 where he met the love of his life and high school sweetheart Dawn Waldron. They married on September 17, 1978 in Theresa, WI.
Denis was an avid deer and turkey hunter. He loved camping with his family. Being outside (preferably in the shade) was his favorite place to be. Denis loved to play euchre with his friends. He enjoyed attending his kids' and grandkids' sporting events and did his best to never miss a game. He even drove the Zamboni during Amanda's skating career.
After retirement, Denis loved volunteering at the food pantry. He made sure that the needy were always fed and that the local bird population was also plump and nourished. Above all, Denis and Dawn loved being grandparents and were able to babysit the grands before they became school age.
Denis and Dawn were blessed with two children and three grandchildren.
Denis will be dearly missed by his wife Dawn; children Amanda (Ken) Hrabe and Nicole (Michael) Griepentrog; grandchildren Cooper (8) and Peyton (6) Hrabe and Brooks (18 months) Griepentrog; siblings Janet (Darwin) Backhaus and David Margelofsky; as well as other relatives and friends.
Denis was preceded in death by his parents LeRoy and Adeline Margelofsky; siblings Roger (Linda) Margelofsky, Carol (Ken) Pankow, and Leon Margelofsky; and father-in-law Russell Waldron.
Denis's family invites friends and relatives to a time of visitation on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at Zacherl Funeral Home from 9:00 AM until 11:45 AM. A Celebration of Denis's life will take place following the visitation at 12:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Fondy Food Pantry, 573 West Rolling Meadows Drive, Fond du Lac.
