Linda L. Margelofsky (nee Ashenmacher) 78, went to her heavenly home on December 9, 2024 with her loving family by her side. She was born in Hartford on October 7, 1946 and the daughter of the late Joseph and Marjorie (nee Kauper) Ashenmacher. She married the love of her life, Roger Margelofsky on August 10, 1968 at Peace Lutheran Church in Hartford. They were blessed with two wonderful children, Lora and Patrick.
Linda was a 1968 graduate of Dr. Martin Lutheran College, New Ulm, MN. Teaching was her passion, she spent a lifetime as an educator and substitute teacher. She taught at St. Peter's Ev. Lutheran Church in Fond du Lac and Bethany Lutheran in Hustisford. She lived her life by God's teachings and grace, and she was a member at St. Peter's Ev. Lutheran Church in Fond du Lac. Linda was adored by all and had a loving heart. She enjoyed all animals; especially cats, horses, being outdoors, gardening, hiking and her favorite channel was The Animal Planet. She always denied having a sweet tooth, but all candies were her favorite.
She is survived by her children; Lora (Mark) Ehlert of New Berlin, Partick Margelofsky of Peshtigo; grandchildren Jamie and Dustin Ehlert; siblings Diane (Bob) Kellbach and John Ashenmacher. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and many friends.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband Roger in 2009. Her parents Joseph and Marjorie; infant brother Joseph.
Funeral services for Linda will take place on Friday, December 13, 2024, at 11am at St. Peter's Ev. Lutheran Church (1600 S. Main Street in Fond du Lac) with Rev. Luke Boehringer will officiate.
Visitation will be from 10 – 11am and burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery at 2:30 PM in Hartford.
The family wishes to thank the caring doctors, nurses, and staff at Tower View that took care of our mom. Especially Heartland Hospice, your love and compassion made her final days in comfort.
