Denise D. Cece-York
Denise Diane Cece-York, 69, a resident of Norwalk, CT, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her family.
Denise was born on March 29, 1956, in Greenwich, CT, the daughter of the late Joseph Cece and Rosemary Gallagher Cece. Denise attended Norwalk Community College, where she studied Culinary Arts.
Denise worked as a bartender in Stamford for many years. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren and nieces.
Denise is survived by her son, Steven Creaturo, brother, Joseph Cece, sisters, Diane Cece (Jerry Curti), Candice McCallum (Doug), Lois Cece, and honorary sisters, Mary Beth Garrison and Gail Gleason, her beloved grandchildren, Stefanie and Steven Creaturo, and their mother, Jenn Creaturo. Also, nieces Rachel, Kate, Kathy, and loved ones in NYC, SC and MT, who cherished their time with her. She will be missed by her dogs, Raider and Gypsy, too.
Denise was predeceased by her husband, Mike, and her brother, Bob.
Family and friends will be received Monday, October 6, 2025, from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Lacerenza Macari Family Funeral Home, 8 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford, CT. Burial will be private. Donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or any animal rescue of your choice.
