Denise Lynn Fogle

Denise Lynn "Dee" Fogle, age 68, of Glendive, Montana, formerly of Drake, North Dakota, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at her home after a short time in hospice care.

A Celebration of Dee's Life will be held at the Drake City Hall on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at 2:00 PM. Silha Funeral Home of Glendive has been entrusted with local arrangements.

Dee was born on January 19, 1958, in Baltimore, Maryland, to Charles Donald and Eileen Marie (Holtman) Trout. She was raised and educated in Milford Mill, Maryland, where she graduated from Milford Mill High School.

In 1976, Dee met the man she would build her life with, William "John" Fogle, and the two married shortly thereafter, beginning a devoted partnership that spanned decades. John served honorably in the United States Marine Corps from 1977 to 1984. During their years in Maryland, Dee dedicated herself to helping others, working as a phlebotomist, EMT, and firefighter-roles that reflected her strength, compassion, and steady presence in times of need.

Dee and John created a beautiful family with three children, Jaime, Josh, and Sarah. While the family resided in Maryland, Jaime joined the Air Force, and in October of 1999, Dee, John, Josh, and Sarah moved to Drake, North Dakota, where John worked for CP Railway. There, Dee focused on raising their children creating a home filled with love.

Dee found joy in the simple, beautiful moments of life. Growing up less than 20 miles from the shores of the Atlantic, she loved being near the water. In North Dakota that translated to swimming, boating, and camping along the shores of Lake Sakakawea.

Dee had a great love for all of God's creatures. She provided her dog and cat companions with an amazing and loving home. Horses held a special place in her heart, and her passion for them remained constant throughout her life. Above all else, Dee's greatest joy came from her grandchildren, who were the light of her life and her proudest legacy.

After John's death in October of 2024, following many beautiful-but never long enough-years of marriage, Dee made the move to Glendive, Montana, in July of 2025 to be closer to family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John; and her brother, Robert Trout.

Dee is survived by her children: Jaime (Scott) Simon of Pasadena, Maryland; Josh Fogle of Richmond, Indiana; and Sarah (Brian) Wurm of Glendive, Montana; and eleven grandchildren: Abigail, Madison, Ryker, Brookston, Charlotte, Alex, Lily, Sheldon, Josiah, Rio, and Caden.
