Denise D. Jochem Robertson

Denise Jochem Robertson passed away peacefully on September 25, 2024, after a brief illness, leaving us far too soon.
Born on January 17, 1956, to Donald and Charlotte Jochem in Syracuse, NY, Denise graduated from East Syracuse-Minoa High School in 1973, before pursuing her studies in English at SUNY Oswego and later obtaining her MBA from Le Moyne College. Denise devoted many years to St. Joseph's Hospital in the Public Relations department, before ultimately discovering her true calling at Interfaith Works, where she served as Director of Development until her retirement in December.
A passionate reader, Denise was an active member of several book clubs and had recently joined a quilting club to explore her creative interests. An animal enthusiast, she delighted in feeding the neighborhood rabbits, squirrels and birds, and cherished her time with her precious cat, Ralphie and fur-nephew, Teemo. She enjoyed traveling with her beloved partner, Walt Fedor, and spending quality time with her loved ones.
Throughout her life, Denise fostered a broad network of friends, creating an extended family that held great significance for her.
Those who knew Denise will profoundly miss her.
Denise was predeceased by her parents, Donald and Charlotte Jochem. Denise is survived by a loving circle of friends and family, including her son, David (Rohini Talreja) Robertson; her sister, Linda (Steven) Conner; her niece, Amy (Chris Hayes) Sacco; nephew, Nicholas (Kayla) Conner and their son, Carter; her long-time companion, Walt Fedor, along with his children (Justin, Michael, Kristen, Christopher, Alex, and Austin), grandchildren (Will, Lennon, Hunter, Etta, Summer, and Meadow), and their families; as well as cousins, Barbara Coughlin, Ralph (Marian) Schreiner, Susan (John) Benedict, and John (Mary) Schreiner.
Visitation will be held from 12:30 to 1:30 pm on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at R.H. Schepp & Son Minoa Chapel, 6530 Schepps Corners Rd., Minoa. The service will follow the calling hour at 1:30 PM at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Collamer Cemetery.
