Denise Jane LaBella, of Coconut Creek, Florida, formerly of Lexington, Massachusetts, passed away on September 21, 2025. She was the beloved daughter of the late John G. LaBella and Mary J. (DiPietro) LaBella, and the devoted sister of Charles D. LaBella and his wife, Priscilla, of Salisbury, Massachusetts. Denise is also survived by her niece, Caroline LaBella; her nephews, Michael LaBella, John LaBella, and his partner, Amber Diggs; and her adored grandnephew and grandniece, Charlie and Rose.

A proud graduate of Lexington High School, Class of 1966, Denise went on to attend Wheaton College and later pursued studies at Fordham University. She became a successful small business owner, specializing in wedding and formal wear accessories, most especially gloves, which she treasured and collected.

Denise's adventurous spirit carried her across the world, where she delighted in meeting new people and experiencing diverse cultures. She was deeply proud of her Sicilian heritage and embraced every opportunity to celebrate Italian traditions.

A lifelong patron of the arts, Denise attended countless performances in dance, theater, and music, and she especially enjoyed ballroom dancing. Her love of learning never wavered; she eagerly sought out lectures and discussions on history, culture, politics, and religion. After moving to Florida, Denise generously volunteered at her local library and as an usher at the Broward County Performing Arts Center, allowing her to continue her passion for the arts while serving her community.

Denise lived life with energy, curiosity, and joy. She filled her days with adventure, discovery, connection, and laughter, leaving behind a legacy of cherished memories with her family and her many beloved friends.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, October 2, at Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Rd., Lexington, at 10:00 a.m. Visitation immediately prior to the service from 9 am to 10 am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Donations in her memory may be made to The Broward Center For The Performing Arts, 201 Southwest 5th Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33312. Interment Westview Cemetery, Lexington.
