Mindy D. LaBella

Mindy D. LaBella, 68, of Neptune, suddenly passed away on Saturday, December 20, 2025 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center surrounded by her loved ones. She was born in Newark July 2, 1957 where she spent her young childhood before moving to Scotch Plains where she graduated Scotch Plains Fanwood High School and Stewart Business School. She lived and traveled around California during her early adulthood; but Neptune was her home for most of her life. More recently, she enjoyed living in Avon close to the salt air and the sound of the waves. She proudly worked as legal secretary for many years for a variety of law offices and corporations.
Mindy's life was defined by her deep love for her family and friends. She enjoyed birdwatching, collecting seashells and tchotchkes, spending time with her grandson, and sitting on Kent Ave in Bradley Beach. She was always searching for her next tattoo and motorcycle memorabilia. Mindy was an avid music lover of many genres while appreciating literature and art. You could always find her shopping for her new favorite obsession and also gifting her loved ones something "teeny-tiny" that she just had to give.
She is predeceased by her parents Martin and Evleyn Davis, her siblings Jake, Lee, and Ann Rochelle. She is survived by her devoted husband, Thomas LaBella, with whom they shared a wonderful relationship; her daughter Chloë LaBella-Mack, son-in-law Robb Mack, and grandson Dallas Mack. She is also survived by her life-long soul-sister, Lisa Davis, nephew, Corey Davis (Kara) and her 3 great-nephews, Eli, Levon, and Theo. Her "other" daughter, Elizabeth Lubischer (Michael) and their 2 daughters, Harlow and Brinley. Her niece Pamela Greenhall (Daniel), nephew Kevin Davis (Ana) and her 5 great nieces and nephews, Caitlin, Daniel, Liam, Noah and Violet.
Friends and family are invited to a memorial service to honor Mindy at 11:30-2:30 on Sunday December 28, 2025 at the Ely Funeral Home, Neptune followed by a repast at Mr. Shrimp, Wall.
