Denise Ann LaPoint, age 60, of Morgan City, Louisiana, passed away on February 3, 2026. Born on August 19, 1965, in Rayne, Louisiana, Denise was a cherished daughter, mother, sister, and grandmother. She was known for her vibrant spirit and her unwavering love for her family, particularly her beloved grandchildren.
Denise spent many fulfilling years as a Black Jack Dealer at Amelia Belle Casino, where she forged lasting friendships and shared her love for the game. Her warm spirit and kind heart were reflected in her interactions with both colleagues and patrons alike. She is remembered fondly for her zest for life, which included a love of playing cards, celebrating Mardi Gras, and her fondness for frogs.
Denise had a passion for all things Disney, which reflected her kindhearted and whimsical nature.
Denise cherished her family above all else and is survived by her beloved mother, Dolores Zerangue; her two sons, William LaPoint Jr. and Trampas LaPoint; her sisters, Chantelle Zerangue, Carolyn Landreneu, and Bliss Roy; as well as her cherished grandchildren, Sage, Bentley, Kase, Gracelyn, Layla, and Kita.
Denise was preceded in death by her father Chester Roy.
A visitation will be held at Twin City Funeral Home on February 6, 2026, from 9:00 AM till 11:00 AM. Denise will be laid to rest following the visitation in Morgan City Cemetery, providing an opportunity for family and friends to honor her life and legacy.
