Denise F. Leavitt, age 60, of Weymouth, passed away on September 10, 2024. Denise was born in Boston, raised and educated in Weymouth, graduating from Weymouth High School in 1982. After high school, she attended Quincy College, earning her Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education. After college she settled in Weymouth, where she raised her three boys, while working as phlebotomist and later as a Certified Nursing Assistant.

Denise loved lighthouses, she often took tours of them throughout New England. She enjoyed traveling to places like Newport and most recently, Niagara Falls. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and her precious puppy, Harry.

Denise is survived by her loving companion, Kenneth Donohue of Weymouth. She is also survived by her beloved sons, William Leavitt, Thomas Leavitt and James Leavitt, all of Weymouth. She will be missed by her grandchildren, Ryan, Ava, Bethany, Abigail, Madison, McKenna and by her nephew, Jeffrey Gore of Quincy. She is predeceased by her brother, Larry Kelly.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a visitation for Denise on Friday, September 13, 2024, from 4-7pm, at the CC Shepherd Funeral Home, located at 134 Pleasant St (Columbian Sq.) South Weymouth. Relatives and friends will gather the following morning in the funeral home, for a Celebration of Life for Denise at 9am, prior to the Mass at St Albert the Great Church in Weymouth at 10am. Burial will be at Fairmount Cemetery, in Weymouth. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
