Denise "Babbo" Long

Denise (Babbo) Long 69, of Canton, went to be with the lord on Thursday, September 25, 2025, surrounded by those she loved most. She was preceded in death by her parents Anthony (Tony) and Lil (Nataline) Babbo, and her brother-in-law, Phil Hamad.

She is survived by her two children whom she was so proud of; daughter, Christina Long and Fiancé Johnnie Maier, her son and daughter in law Brian (Bubba) and Mariah Long; her sister, Renee Hamad; and her brother, Daniel (Rose) Babbo. She was the proud grandmother of her four granddaughters who meant the world to her; Alliya, Natalina, and Gianna Guidone, and Elouise Long. Denise is also survived by her nieces, Angela (Rob) Seders, Jennifer (Nick) Sherock, and Danielle (Shaun) Paciorek, as well as her great-nieces and nephew. She is also survived by the love of her life (ex-husband) Denny Long. Denise was loved immensely by so many cousins, family members and close friends.

Denise was a graduate of the 1974 class of Lincoln High School. She encountered many obstacles in her life, yet she met each one with grace, resilience and faith. She was a member of Guardian Angels Parish at St. Joseph Church in Canton. There she devoted many years of her life to volunteering as a cheerleading coach, in the school lunchroom, church bingo and Fish Fries. She enjoyed bowling, playing cards and monthly outings with the St. Joe's lunch bunch. Denise also looked forward to watching and cheering on all Cleveland sports, especially her Brownies.

Denise cherished each and every person in her life and was deeply loved. She will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering devotion to those she held dear.

Family and friends will be received at the Rossi Family Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 from 5 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at 11 a.m.
