Denise Jean (Mitchell) Skelton, Sunrise: June 12, 1953 and Sunset: July 20, 2024.
Born in Cleveland, Ohio, resided in Huntsville, Alabama shortly, then moved to Columbus, Ohio. Denise was very motherly to all her younger siblings, she had a very loving, dedicated and giving spirit as a sister and aunt. However, Denise had a very low tolerance level for somethings and was very outspoken about it!
Denise worked with the State of Ohio, later worked as a Home Health Aid for a brief period, then began her own cleaning business. Denise could clean/disinfect any home from the top to the bottom very well!!
Denise was joined in marriage to Larry Skelton for 36 years. Preceded her in death husband, Larry Skelton; parents, Ermalee (Mitchell) Griffin and Robert Lee Mitchell; siblings, Robert Mitchell Jr. and Yolanda (Mitchell) Nichols; nephews, James Nowell II and Kei’Shun Walton.
Left to cherish her memories are siblings, Carmalita Mitchell, Darvlea (Bishop) Mitchell, James Nowell Jr., and Miquel Mitchell; special nephews, James Mitchell, Charles Mitchell and Tyquan Mitchell; special nieces, Yolanda Mitchell, Sharifa Mixson-Mitchell, Lauren Smith, and Ty’chawna Mitchell. Denise has a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, family, and friends.
