Denise Lorette (Laflamme) Twombley, age 76, passed away on December 26, 2023, at 10:10am at Pleasant View Center in Concord, NH, after a lengthy battle with dementia.
Denise was born January 26, 1947, in Nashua, NH, the daughter of Ruben and Lorette Laflamme. She was the wife of Arthur Twombley of 56 years. They were married on August 11, 1967, in Nashua, NH. She graduated high school and went on to raise a family before returning to school as an adult studying at Saint Joseph‘s school for nursing, earning her LPN. She went to work at Pleasant View Center in Concord, NH, where she enjoyed working with the elderly for 16 years.
Her hobbies were reading, long car rides with her husband Arthur and dog Summer, going to the beach, and swimming in the ocean.
Denise is survived by her spouse Arthur, and two sons Eric and wife Morgan (Harding) of Hillsboro, NH, and Jeffrey of VT. She was a loving Grandmother to four grandchildren, Cassidy Devino of Colchester, VT, Payton Twombley, Chase Twombley, and Shae Twombley of Hillsboro, NH. She was predeceased by two sisters, Louise and Clare, her brother Paul, and her son Steve.
The family will receive visitors Saturday, January 6, 2024, 10am-11am, at the Cremation Society of New Hampshire, 172 King Street in Boscawen, NH. Memorial service will begin at 11am in the Cremation Society chapel. Denise will be laid to rest later in the Spring of 2024 at the Harvey Memorial Cemetery in Hillsborough, NH.
