Denni J. Slack

Denni J. Slack, 60, of Phillipsburg, NJ, passed away on Thursday, September 17th at Complete Care at Brakeley Park.

Born on February 18, 1966, in Phillipsburg, Denni was the son of the late James and Bertha (Au) Slack. He was raised in the Phillipsburg area and graduated from Phillipsburg High School in 1983.

Denni worked for many years as a contractor, a profession that suited his hardworking nature and his ability to work with his hands.

An outdoorsman at heart, Denni was happiest spending time in the woods. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and appreciated the peace and simplicity that came from being outdoors. Whether enjoying a day in the woods or time with those closest to him, Denni valued life's simple pleasures.

Above all, Denni will be remembered as a loving father, brother, and friend. He leaves behind his son, Wade Slack; his sister, Lori (Slack) Sears and her husband, Colin; his brother, Kyle Slack and his wife, Heather; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Denni was predeceased by his parents, James and Bertha (Au) Slack.

Denni's love of the outdoors and the memories he created with his family, and friends will remain a lasting part of his legacy. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A memorial service for family and friends will be held at a later. Arrangements are under the care of Knoll-DeVoe Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Washington NJ.
