Dennis Lee Ackley

Adrian – Dennis Lee Ackley, age 53, of Adrian, passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at the University of Michigan Hospital. Dennis was born on May 5, 1969, in Adrian, the son of Larry and Judy (Ouellette) Ackley. He graduated from the Berean Baptist Academy. Dennis was a partner at his family's business Larry's Custom Cycles. Dennis had a servant's heart and was very active in missionary work. He worked with David and Mary Boyd at BGMC events. Dennis enjoyed working with children with BGMC and spending time with his friends from all over the world. Dennis loved his Lord and Savior Jesus and endeavored to bless those he came in contact with. His life made others better. He had many friends in the motorcycle community and he often attended motorcycle events where he had many friends. He enjoyed riding his Harley, being outdoors fishing, hunting, and traveling, especially to Africa, Alaska, and Canada where he had many friends.
Surviving Dennis are his parents, Larry and Judy; brother, Todd Ackley; uncles and aunts, Gary and Connie Ackley, Rich and Andrea Ouellette, Tom and Linda Hutchison, and Ruth and Mitchell Siler; as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents and numerous aunts and uncles.
Visitation for Dennis will be held on Sunday, September 18, 2022, from 2-6 p.m. at Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian. Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 19, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Bethany Assembly of God with Pastor David Boyd and Pastor Brian Henley officiating with visitation in the church an hour prior to the start of the service. Burial will be held in Oakwood Cemetery.
