Adrianne "Annie" Smith

ADRIAN - Adrianne "Annie" Renee Smith, age 53, of Adrian, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2026, at her home in Adrian. She was born on April 23, 1972, in Stuttgart, Germany, the daughter of Gary H. and Kayleen R. (Smith) Cagle.

Annie married Jason R. Smith on June 9, 2007, in Kountze, Texas. He survives. She worked in the healthcare field at StoryPoint Nursing Home in Grand Ledge, Michigan. Her caring demeanor served her well in her career and for raising a beautiful family which brought her much joy. Annie was smart, funny, caring, kind soul who enjoyed reading, writing, listening to music, watching crime dramas and also had a big heart of kindness to animals.

Annie is survived by her husband, Jason; four children, Daniel (Alicia) Deshler, Amanda Deshler, Jackson Smith and Brooklyn Smith; six grandchildren, Clayton, Gabby, Chance, Madison, Lucas and Noah; her parents, Gary (Pam) Cagle and Kay (Bill) Cagle; two brothers, Josh (Amber) Cagle and Todd Cagle; one sister, Tracie Cagle; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Mary Cagle, Luchen Cagle, Jean Cole, Arnet Cole, Ray Smith, Hanna Smith, and uncle, Richard Smith.

A Gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian. Cremation will follow.
