Dennis Doyle Barker

Dennis Doyle Barker of Dell City, Texas passed away peacefully on January 24, 2024 at the age of 65 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 9, 1958 to Doyle Dewayne (DD) Barker and Viola June (Orman) Barker in Altus, Oklahoma. Dennis was a 1976 graduate of Dell City High School. Dennis married Renee Boles on May 10, 1986. He was a long time resident of Dell City. He had an extensive career as a salesman and a cattleman.
Dennis is survived by his beloved wife of 37 years, Renee Barker; son, Duke Barker (Blythe Jackson) of Stephenville, Texas; daughter Amanda Hammon (Shawn) of Breckenridge, Texas; son, Chad Calvert (Karen Ferguson); sister Sharon, brothers Larry, and Randy (Susan); grandchildren, Shay Calvert, Devin Barker, Jadon Barker, Brycen Hammon, Allie Hammon, Tiffani Barker, Wyatt Hammon, Chris Kozak, and Caeden Kozak. With a great grandchild Kehlani Olivia to be born in April. Many extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents June and Doyle Barker.

Dennis wasn't just an employee; he was a key partner to any business fortunate enough to have him. Most recently he was instrumental in the growth of Doosan Industrial Vehicle. He also contributed to the success of the dealerships he worked with. Prior to this Dennis supported Clark Material Handling and Faulkner Material Handling.
Dennis's recognition and respect spanned from manufacturers to distributors to customers. His legacy echoes a simple truth– the world could use more individuals like Dennis Barker. His absence is deeply felt, yet his influence remains, urging us to embody the qualities that made him exceptional."

A celebration of life will be held at 10:00 am Saturday February 3, 2024 at the First Baptist Church 104-108 W 2nd St, Dell City, TX 79837. Service to follow at 11:00 am in the Dell City ISD Gym 110 Main St. Graveside at the Valley Memorial Acres. Join us for a potluck luncheon at Dell Telephone, Dell City, Texas.
