On July 31, 2024, with his loving family by his side, Dennis C. Brechbill, 79, of Chambersburg, PA joined his heavenly family; father, Chester L. Brechbill; mother, Mildred V. (Pentz) Brechbill; and sister, Carol V. Brechbill. Born December 2, 1944, he lived and worked as the 3rd generation on Sunny Acres Farm near Duffield, PA.
Dennis was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He married his high school sweetheart Leilani (Singley) Brechbill in 1965 and they had three children; daughter, Amy and son-in-law Brad Herrold of Chambersburg, daughter, Gail Bromage of Southington, CT and son, Brian and daughter-in-law Michelle Brechbill of Chambersburg and seven grandchildren, Nathanial Bromage, Shelby Herrold, Cody Brechbill, Cedar Bromage, Kendall Brechbill, Danielle Herrold and Jessica Herrold.
He was a life-long member of the Central Presbyterian Church in Chambersburg and graduated from Chambersburg Area Senior High School in 1963. After graduation, he served his country in the Army Reserves. He was a farmer all his life, a Pioneer Seed Corn sales representative since 1980, and a member of the leadership team of Dream Farms in Newburg, PA.
Dennis enjoyed spending time with his family, visiting his daughter in Connecticut, family vacations on the Outer Banks, NC, and traveling and playing cards with his wife and friends.
A memorial service will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, August 25, 2024 in the Chapel of the Thomas Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202 with Pastor Scott Bowerman officiating. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family in New Guilford Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 3:00 PM prior to the service Sunday afternoon in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mennonite Central Committee, 21 S. 12th Street, Akron, PA 17501.
