Dennis BUSHY

February 10, 1941 - July 24, 2025

Spokane - Dennis Jerome Bushy Sr., of Crookston, MN, passed away on July 24, 2025, at the age of 84, in Spokane, WA. Born on February 10, 1941, Dennis spent his youth traveling and working throughout the Pacific Northwest and Alaska, before settling his family in Spokane.

A family man at heart, Dennis is survived by his wife of 65 years, Gladys Bushy; and their children: Dennis Jr., Darin, David, Joanne, and Lori. He was a cherished grandfather to Kassandra, Jessica, Denysa, Draeson, Jaymien, Domenic, TJ, Mindy, Keegan, and Koltin; and great-grandfather to Emma, Tatum, Blayke, Decker, Daxton, Alivia, Aaron, and Luca. He is survived by his brother, David Sinkervich; multiple nephews, nieces, and extended family.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Alma Bushy; siblings, Glen Bushy, Judy Cook, Marvin Bushy, and Jean Stave; and his grandson, Brandon Bushy.

Dennis was known for his love of the outdoors, often found hunting, fishing, or golfing with friends and family. He dedicated 20+ years to Pre-stress, pouring the concrete foundation that has built up Spokane. He was a scout leader and a camp host at Gifford Ferry for 12 years in his retirement. His joys were simple and centered around the time spent with his loved ones, especially his grandchildren, who were the light of his life.

His family will lay him to rest in a private burial on August 7th. A celebration of life will follow, welcoming all who knew him, from 2pm - 5pm at the VFW Post 1474, 2902 E. Diamond Ave.
