Dennis Joseph Caurso passed away on February 18, 2026 at age 77.

He was born on November 9, 1948, in Detroit Michigan, the youngest of three children. Proud graduate of Lawrence Technological University, where he earned his bachelor's in engineering and made lifetime friends through his Fraternity.

Dennis remained close with his sisters, even when his career took him elsewhere. He would come home for the holidays and enjoy movies at the DIA, plays at the Wayne State theater, and performances at the symphony. They had fun at gatherings with neighbors, and the simple peace of taking a walk on a nice day.

Dennis started with AMC (American Motors Corporation) and then spent some time in North Carolina while working for MAN (Maschinenfabrik Augsburg-Nürnberg), a German bus manufacturer. He learned German while on the job and spoke French and Italian. He enjoyed several business trips to Germany, Austria, and Italy. He later moved to Texas to work on trucks for the Army, and then Virginia-just outside of Washington DC-to help with amphibious vehicles for the Marines. Dennis was well-respected among his colleagues and assisted in various projects, including panels for the NASA space shuttles, which required a few trips to California that he loved.

Dear brother of the late Anita Gervais (the late Lynn) and Janice Caruso. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Mary Caruso.

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, February 24, at 11:30a.m. at White Chapel Cemetery- Chapel of Flowers 621 W. Long Lake Rd. Troy.
