Thomas Charles Luyckx was born on November 4, 1951, to Alma Catherine Ryan and Charles Owen Luyckx. He lived his early years in Livonia, Michigan with his parents and his Uncle Bo.

Tom graduated from Bentley High School in 1971 and he later attended Schoolcraft College where he earned an Associate Degree in 1973. Tom later moved to Redford, Michigan where he spent the remaining years of his life. Tom's career spanned many years at McKesson where he worked in the warehouse. He was an active member of the Teamsters and enjoyed supporting them and being involved. He regularly attended their meetings and enjoyed the group camaraderie. He attended St. Sabina Catholic Church for many years in Dearborn Heights, where he was a regular on Saturday and Tuesday services, where he was always found in the front row. He enjoyed spending time at his Aunt and Uncle's cottage near Chelsea, Mi in the summer taking in the sunshine on regular boat rides. He traveled often to Venice, Florida to visit his parents and after they passed, he went twice a year to enjoy the sunshine and regularly went to pay his respects to them.

He is survived by his Aunt Jeanne Hollis, cousins Donna and Debi Hollis, Diane and Chuck Rice and their children, Dustin (Hattie) and Augustine, Spencer (Emily) and Emma (Kyle).

Tom will be interred at Venice Memorial Gardens in Venice Florida, being near to his parents once again.

He will be remembered for his desire to help others and his generous spirit.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 30th from 10:00am-11:00am followed by the memorial service at 11:00am at St. Sabina Catholic Church, 25555 Ann Arbor Trail, Dearborn Heights, MI 48127.
