Dennis graduated from Worthington High School in 1964, in Columbus, Ohio. After graduation, his family moved to Yakima, and started Blue Ribbon Bee Farm. He enlisted in the Navy in 1965 and served until 1969. In 1972, he joined the Yakima Fire Department and served for 31 years, until he retired in 2013.
On March 20, 1979, he married Judith "Judy" Hammond.
Dennis was a faithful man of God and loved his family. He enjoyed gardening and woodworking, making several special pieces for his family.
Dennis is survived by his loving wife, Judy Charlet; children: Brandy Barr (Rob Schermerhorn), Denise Carson (Andy), Stacie Comiskey (Jeff), Kevin Charlet (Terra); grandchildren: Chelsea Marshall (Kyle), Sam & Holly Carson; Ethan & Sadie Milner, Emma & Laurel Comiskey; Miraha, Kaylee, Ella & Kaleb Charlet; great-grandchildren: Jack, Rory and Mays Marshall; sisters: Sherril, Sheila, Corrine, Charlotte and Tina.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents Harold and Irene Charlet, sister Loretta and brother Spencer.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at 11:00am, at West Side Church, with a Reception to follow.
