Rest in peace one of my oldest friends. I'll miss our phone calls and the sound of your voice. From high-school to your wedding, (I'm honored to have been your best man) and in the twilight of our years I've been blessed to have known you.
May God's grace be with your family.
Till we meet again compadre.

As a fellow veteran who played Cribbage with Dennis over the last few years, I will miss his camaraderie.

I have known Dennis through our (DAV) Disabled American Veterans military organization for about 7 years. He has been a wonderful asset to Veterans and a good all around friend. He will be missed. R.I.P. Do more good work in Heaven. It was fun seeing you at various State and National conventions. God Bless You.

In 2014, Dennis was one of ~600 Vietnam Veterans honored and presented with Congressional, State of California, Solano County, City of Vallejo, and Vallejo Veterans Memorial Building Certificates of Appreciation.

One of the certificates stated: On behalf of our grateful Nation, we thank and honor you for your Service, Valor, and Sacrifice. You answered our beloved country´s call to duty and proudly served with patriotism, distinction, and honor. We also thank your family and friends for the sacrifices they made during and after your military service. Thank you for your continuing loyalty, dedication to duty, and selfless service for our great country. You are an inspiration to all Servicemembers, Veterans, and Americans.

My deepest sympathy go out to Dennis's family. I first met him with his father, Ed at their famous Mr. Ed's Restaurants throughout Solano County and got to know him even better, thru the Vallejo Executive Lions Club. He was a good man and I pray now that he is finally resting in Peace. Terry Curtola
