Dennis Lee Tyree Dainack was born August 24, 1943, and departed this life Saturday, August 9, 2025, reaching the age of 81 years. He was the son of the late John William Tyree and Eilene Mae (Ramsey) Dainack and his stepfather, John Dainack. He is survived by: his wife of 49 years, Lois Dainack; his children, Christine Harrell (Mark), Scott Andrew Dainack, Laura Gaura (Martin), and his brothers, Steve Dainack (Denise), Roger Dainack (Mary), and Bruce Dainack; 6 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: one son, Todd Allen Dainack; and one sister, Debra Dainack. Dennis served his country and community; he was a proud Army Veteran, a retired scuba diver for N.Y. State Troopers, U. S. Postal Clerk in both Utah and New York, owned & operated Exxon Service Station in L.V., and was a bus driver for Wayne County. He was well loved by everyone who met him and will be very much missed! The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 16, 2025, between 11 am – 1 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 16, 2025, at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be on Monday, August 18, 2025, at 12:30 pm at the Mill Springs National Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by our local DAV Chapter 105. Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
