Dennis L. Denny

Dennis L. Denny, age 70, of Waynesburg, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at his home, Friday, January 9, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Born Sunday, January 16, 1955, in Lincoln County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Frank "Frankie" & Lorene Hodge Denny. His loving wife, whom he married Friday, July 18, 1975, is Bonnie Caudill Denny of Waynesburg. Dennis previously worked at Barren Pallet and Boone's Feed Mill, and owned Denny's Logging and farmed. Dennis was a member of Olive Baptist Church, and enjoyed watching the sun rise each morning, owning souped up cars, and watching Western movies. His greatest joys in life, however, was spending time with his grandchildren, taking care of his cows, and spending time in his barn.

In addition to his wife, Dennis leaves behind one son, Dennis Lee "DJ" Denny, Jr. (Jessica) of Waynesburg; two daughters, Lori Denny and Adrienne Rutherford (Miles) both of Waynesburg; 10 grandchildren, Haley Holt, Mallory Denny, Makinna Denny, Katlin Rutherford, Alexis Tabor (Christian), Will Denny (Diamond), Rayden Denny, Skylar Rutherford, Bella Denny, and Payton Rutherford; 6 great-grandchildren, Arianna Denny, Natalie Holt, Marissa Holt, Barrett Tabor, Marlee Denny, and Elowen Denny; four brothers, Johnny Denny of Waynesburg, Donnie Denny of Lincoln County, Curtis Denny (Lacey) of Waynesburg, and Jeffrey Denny (Beverly) of Nancy, Kentucky; five sisters, Margie Denny, Peggy Ellison, and Karen Denny all of Pulaski County, Kentucky, Cheryl Caudill (Junior) and Rose Rayborn both of Waynesburg; one brother-in-law, Ralph Padgett of Waynesburg; and numerous nephews, nieces, and other extended family members and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, Dennis was preceded in death by one grandson, Randy Alexander Denny; one great-granddaughter, Iris Jade Denny; two brothers, Larry Ralph Denny (infant) and Steve Denny; and one sister, Betty Padgett.

A Public Visitation will be held 11AM-1PM Thursday, January 15, 2026, at Barnett, Demrow & Friend Funeral Home.

A Public Funeral Service will be held 1PM Thursday, at the funeral home. Bro. Wayne Stephens will officiate the service. The Funeral Service will be livestreamed on Dennis' memorial page of the funeral home's website.

Burial will follow in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery. Will Denny, Rayden Denny, Stacy Padgett, Christian Tabor, Ben Caudill, Ely Caudill, Steven Denny, Eric Denny, and Shannon Caudill will serve as Active Pallbearers. Dennis' brothers will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
