DENNIS DILL Obituary
July 7, 1951 – May 12, 2024
Dennis Dill, 72, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2024, in Prescott, AZ. Dennis was born on July 7, 1951, in Brawley, CA to Melvin and Betty Dill.
Dennis's early years were spent alongside his father at Mel's Liquor Store, where he learned the value of diligence and hard work. After attending Brawley Union High School, he found his love for mechanicing and making motors talk while working at Petes Garage. He joined forces with his father to establish Mel Dill and Son Trucking. Dennis eventually ventured out on his own and established Dennis Dill Trucking, which he ran successfully for 20 plus years until he retired in 2004. Following his retirement, Dennis moved to Prescott, AZ with his beloved wife, Becky.
A true enthusiast of all things motorized, Dennis found joy in all things fast and shiny. Whether indulging in a game of poker with friends at D & H or exploring the desert and river, he embraced life's adventures. He also enjoyed restoring and tinkering with his latest project, a '66 Chevy.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Mel and Betty Dill.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Becky Dill; children, David (Kelly) Dill, Sara (Ben) Bankofsky, and Emillee (Sean) Callens; grandchildren, Tanner (Riley) Dill, Taylar (Joshua) Irvin, Shelby (Josh) Trimm, Peyton and Brooklyn Bankofsky, Audree and JR Callens; sister, Deanna (Charlie) Jones; and nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, May 20, 2024, at 11:30 a.m. at Del Rio Country, Brawley, CA with a reception to follow. May his spirit of adventure live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

My heart goes out to Dills Family. My dearest condolence, my thought and prayers are with the family.
What can't I say about Dennis that hasn't been said. He was a lot of fun to be around with, funny ,cheerful, very respectful, and CRAZY when it was sand dunes time. Everyone that knew him had a ball with him out in the sand dunes crazy Dennis. I want to see you drive like a crazy person in heaven racing Main St. with the Lord. Who will be # 1 racer. First, to Becky, I am so sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to you and your family.
To Denny, you were my first great love and I thank you for sharing nearly a decade of your life with me, having wonderful adventures and creating great memories. Most of all, thank you for co-creating our amazing daughter Sara with me and being such a great father to her.
I wish you great adventures on this next part of your journey.

It was always great being around Dennis, watching him work on the `57 or taking a spin in the Jeep at Glamis, or working or hanging around at Pete´s.
Fun always had a way of finding Dennis. I was lucky enough to own his `72 Chevy pick up for a while too!
Safe Travels Dennis! I know you´ll get there fast!

Deanna & The Dennis Dill Family,
Even though years have passed by, the memories of my cool cousin Denny I still hold dear. He definitely had a need for speed, fast cars were his passion. When he would stop by our house alongside the Westside Main Canal, he'd immediately wanna grab the fishing poles and out we'd go. We'd sit in the hot unbearable sun sweating our butts off hoping to catch a big catfish. Gosh was that fun times! Just know his spirit is with you always and I pray your sadness will subside quickly and that the wonderful memories of him will bring you peace. Hugs and love-Mary Ard (Box)
