Dennis Dodson

 

Dennis, 71, a longtime resident of Missoula and a lover of Montana, passed away on Monday, September 18, 2023 at St. Pat’s Hospital. 

 

He was born in St. Maries, Idaho, on September 10, 1952, to Elmer and Deloris Dodson. The family moved to Thompson Falls, MT when he was one and he graduated high school there. 

 

After high school, he worked various jobs before training to be a respiratory therapist, a job he loved. Years after, he was disabled because of a broken back. 

 

Dennis was married and divorced twice. He had one son from his first marriage. 

 

Dennis loved the Lord and was very active in church. He went to prayer, breakfast weekly with the men’s group, and volunteered at the food bank Saturday mornings. 

 

Dennis enjoyed walks, nature, people watching, children, icecream, gunsmoke, music, and sports of all kinds. He had a great sense of humor and one liners. He was always ready to lend a helping hand. 

 

Denny loved his friends and family, which includes, son Christopher and grandchildren Carter, Brielle, Joclyn, Thayer, Sisters Kitty, Diana and Husband Terry, Aunt Helen and cousin Becky, and many other family members. 

 

And God said, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”

 

A memorial service will be held Thursday, September 28th, at 2 pm at Revive Church, 2811 Latimer St., Missoula, MT, 59808
