Dennis Lee Erickson

Dennis Lee Erickson, 82 years of age, passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness in Springfield, Missouri, on January 18, 2026. He was born on July 7, 1943, to Alfred and Alice (Lee) Erickson in Duluth, Minnesota. Dennis was united in marriage to Karen Marie (Larson), who survives him of the home.

Preceding him in death were his parents Alfred R. and Alice C. Erickson, of Proctor (Midway Park), Minnesota; three brothers: Warren, Jerry (Avis), Wesley (Gertrude) Erickson.

Surviving are his wife Karen; three sons: Lloyd, Aaron (Tammy), and Phillip (Donna) Erickson; two grandchildren: Emily and Jonathan; two step-grandchildren: Jessica and Laura Meredith; and sister-in-law, Alma Erickson; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Dennis was self-employed and passed Journey Carman for DM&IR Railroad, an Acting Corporate Controller and Billing/Plant Foreman for American Car Corporation. Dennis was the past president for Douglas County Blood Bank, member of Jaycees, Masonic Temple Acacia Lounge , Scottish Rite, and Temple Shrine directors staff and clown unit. Dennis performed as Ding-A -Ling the clown for Duluth Days, Iron World, Circus and Company picnics and events. He was a member of Second Baptist Church in Springfield, MO.

Full military honors will be rendered on Monday, February 2, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, Missouri.
