Dennis Leo “Butch” Foreman, 80, of Leesburg, FL, passed away October 13, 2024. He was born June 22, 1944, in Kankakee, IL, to the late Kenneth and Marjorie Foreman. Butch graduated from Central High School, Chebanse, IL. He was a farmer in Shelby County, Indiana until 1994. He also lived in Walla Walla, WA for a short time. Butch proudly served in the U.S. Army as a helicopter mechanic during the Vietnam War. He was on the school board of the Northwestern Consolidated School District in Shelby County and a former member of Boggstown Presbyterian Church (Indiana). He was a very active member of Amvets in Mt. Dora, FL where he served as Commander. An avid boater, he was Vice Commodore and later Commodore for the Walla Walla Yacht Club. He especially enjoyed taking people on tours around his lake. He worked with the Coast Guard to certify the Dora Contessa, a boat he built, as a dinner cruiser. Butch will be dearly missed and will forever hold a special place in the hearts of all who knew him. Butch is survived by his children: Gary Foreman (Cathy), Jeff Foreman (Angel), and Teresa Gaskin of Indianapolis, IN; Bryan Foreman (Lisa) of Eustis, FL, and Denise Isenhower (Brett) of Walla Walla, WA. He is also survived by his brother, Keith Foreman of Chebanse, IL; his sisters, Brenda Randazzo of Bourbonnais, IL, and Peggy Streeter of Upper Peninsula, MI; along with 12 cherished grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Services will be held at Harden/Pauli Funeral Home in Eustis, Florida on Friday, Nov. 8th. Visitation is from 10-11 a.m. followed by a memorial at 11a.m. Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Amvets Post #1992, 32201 Amvets Way, Mt. Dora, FL 32757.
