Dennis Goldsmith Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Casper Funeral & Cremation Services on Apr. 18, 2025.
Dennis Goldsmith
Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle, Friend, and Mentor.
Dennis Goldsmith of Cambridge, MA, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2025. He is survived by his wife, two daughters, son, granddaughter, siblings and their children- each of whom was the center of his world and the heart of his purpose.
Dennis was a man of uncommon strength, quiet wisdom, and deep compassion. He held a degree in psychology, which informed his lifelong dedication to the mental, emotional, and physical well-being of others. He believed in the power of the human spirit to heal, grow, and rise - and he lived that belief through both action and presence.
A 9th degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do and a respected teacher of martial arts, kickboxing, yoga, and self-defense, Dennis was a cornerstone in the lives of countless students across generations. Through his teaching, he instilled not only physical strength, but confidence, respect, discipline, and peace. His classes were not just about form and movement - they were about empowerment, healing, and transformation.
More than an instructor, Dennis was a mentor to many, kids, youth and adults alike. He poured his heart into uplifting others and was a quiet yet powerful force for good in his community. His legacy lives on in the strength he nurtured, the minds he awakened, and the love he gave so freely.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 4th at 1:00 PM, at the Jewish Community Center of the North Shore, 4 Community Rd, Marblehead, MA 01945.. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Dennis's honor to Level Up Philly or YEAH Philly, organizations in the city he grew up in, aligned with his belief in investing in the lives and futures of young people.

To the family of Dennis Goldsmith I'm a student. I met Mr. Goldsmith in 1989/1990. He brought me to a group home and changed my life. Showed me different things. Gave me discipline and respect of self. I am very saddened to find out that he passed away on my birthday, April 14th. He was a extraordinary, kind and polite person. I want to express my deepest condolences to the family. My name is Eugene C. Tabon.
Love, peace and happiness.

Condolences to the family. Dennis was an amazing fitness instructor at the gym I attend (Waverley Oaks Athletic Club). His quiet spirit, genuine care and smiles will be missed. May God's comfort and your memories of your dad, spouse, grandfather, uncle, cousin walk with each of you as you celebrate a life well lived.

My condolences to Dennis“ family. I knew him many years ago when I was taking classes at the JCC. I remember Dennis as a genuinely good person. He always had a smile on his face and his quiet strength radiated to all who came in contact with him. He will be sorely missed.

I first met Dennis when I signed up to take a workout class after having a baby in 2023. He radiated love, happiness and positivity. I used to see him every day when I'd go to workout, and he was always happily listening to or chatting away with one of his trainees. He was such a light. I will miss his beautiful smile and face. Rest in Serenity, Dennis, you will be so missed.

This beautiful tribute truly captures this amazing man. Dennis had been a mentor and teacher to our sons and their friends for many years. He was such a positive constant, and touched many, it's hard to imagine him not here. My heart is with his family at this difficult time. His influence, mission and smile will not be forgotten.
