Dennis R. Gow Sr., 74, of Susquehanna, Pennsylvania, passed away on February 26, 2026. Born on March 10, 1951, in Susquehanna, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Raymond and Myrtle Gow.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Myrtle Gow; his brother, Freddy Gow; his sisters, Phyllis Dininny and Barbara Glover; and his nephew, Jeff Dininny.
Dennis is survived by his loving wife, Terry, his “Darlin”; his sons, Dennis Gow Jr. and his wife Christine, and Christopher Gow; his cherished grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Austin, and Isabelle; and his great-granddaughter, Kinsley.
Dennis dedicated many years of his life to hard work and providing for his family. He spent time working for PennDOT, later drove tractor-trailer, and in his later years worked in maintenance at Sam’s Club. No matter the job, he took pride in his work and the people he worked alongside.
Dennis was known for his quick wit and infectious sense of humor. He loved telling jokes and was often the life of the party, never missing an opportunity to break into an inappropriate song at just the right — or wrong — moment. To his children, he was “Pops,” and to his grandchildren and great-granddaughter, he was their beloved “Pop Pop.” He cherished spending time on his son’s patio, enjoying a good meal surrounded by family. Dennis often said his favorite trip was the one he took to Disney, a place that brought out his sense of wonder. He had a special love for dinosaurs, especially the mighty T-Rex, a fitting favorite for someone with such a big and unforgettable personality.
He will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.
