He was born January 10, 1959 in Keavy, Ky. to the late Merrill Helton and Josie Miracle Helton. He was an equipment operator.
Dennis is survived by; wife; Shirley Karr Helton, step mother; Mary Helton, three children; Crystal Helton (Kevin Slone), Dennis N. Helton, and John Helton all of Keavy, Ky., four step-children; Shelia Rose and husband David, Robbie Jones and wife Heather, Shalene Fletcher and husband James, Travis Karr and wife Aleigha all of Keavy, Ky., two brothers; Donald Helton and wife Judy, and Darrell Helton, two sisters; Rosalitta Gregory, Deborah Shelton and fiancé Gary Burke all of Keavy, Ky., two nieces; Debbie Helton of Arizona, Darlene Goodwin, a special cousin; Bruce Howard, and best friend, Jerry Lawson, all of Keavy, Ky., grandchildren; Thomas Helton, Samuel Farmer, Owen House, Tyson Karr, Zayden Karr, and Lily Karr, and several other grandchildren.
Other than his parents he was preceded in death by a brother; Dawson Danny Helton, brother-in-law; Teddy Gregory and a sister-in-law; Imalee Helton.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 30, 2025 at O'Neil-Lawson Funeral Home chapel with Brother JayBob Mosley officiating, burial will follow in Howard Family Cemetery in Keavy, Ky.
Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, August 29, 2025 at O'Neil-Lawson Funeral Home.
