Dennis "Wick" Herrington

Dennis "Wick" Herrington, age 68, of Flowery Branch, GA passed away on Thursday, November 27, 2025 from pulmonary fibrosis after an extended illness. He was preceded in death by parents, Cotton and Vestie Herrington; brother, Timothy Herrington; sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and J. M. Pirkle; sister, Kay Herrington; nephew, Mitchell Pirkle.

Mr. Herrington is survived by his wife of forty-nine years, Angie King Herrington; children, Brandi Herrington, Candi and Jade Hohman, Mandi Herrington, Olivia Herrington, and Leigha Herrington, all of Flowery Branch; grandchildren, Lucas Sommers, James Murray, Jase Hohman; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Wayne and Brenda King and Steve and Brenda King, all of Buford; aunts, Becky Herrington and Sue Chapman; and nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mr. Herrington was born on March 22, 1957 in Gainesville, GA and graduated in 1975 from Buford High School. He was the retired owner of Herrington Tire Company in Buford, GA after more than ten years, but he had worked with his father, Cotton Herrington in the family business for many years. Mr. Herrington grew up in the Buford Church of God and was there many years. He and his wife have been attending Harmony Baptist Church in Buford.

Mr. Herrington was an avid Wolves fan and loved Buford High School football. He was also an avid Georgia Tech fan and loved GA Tech football. He loved traveling and really enjoyed riding his motorcycle.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, November 30, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 29 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Flanigan Funeral Home.
