Our beloved brother, Dennis Ray Howell age 74 left the warm and loving embrace of his family and friends on the 20th of August. His home was in Pensacola, Florida.
The youngest in a family of nine brothers and sisters.
Mother was Lorena Belle (Potter) Howell, Father was Charles Edward Howell.
He is survived by Daughters, Megan, and Samantha DeVilbiss and Sisters, Ruth E (Danny) McClure and Kathleen Howell, Older Brothers, John Nelson, George Howell and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by, his parents, and sisters, Doris J. Crump, Margaret L. Harris and brother, David L. Howell.
Dennis was a graduate of Southwestern High School in 1979. He made a career of the military serving time in the U S Air Force before joining the U S Navy retiring after 20 years of service.
His friends and ship mates form the Navy praised him for his leadership and for being a trusted friend and wanted to send him off with a salute and wished that he RIP and to have fair winds and following seas.
No services are planned at this time. His wish was to buried at sea and we plan to fulfill his wish
