Dennis Dale Hughes

Dennis Dale Hughes, 69, of Stafford, VA., formerly of Hallstead, PA passed away on May 3, 2025. Dennis is survived by his father, David L. Hughes, Hallstead, PA; sons, Dale (Janelle) Hughes, Hallstead, PA; Ryan (Kristy) Hughes, Kirkwood, NY. Six grandchildren: Anthony, Austin, Kaelin, Colin, Cody and Isaac Hughes; two sisters, April (Michael) Mroz, and Penny (Martin) Aldrich of Hallstead, PA; his girlfriend, Barbara Jaekel, Loudon, TN; his best friend, Raymond Bowser, Port St Lucie, FL. Predeceased by Shirley Hughes, his mother in June 2003.
Dennis was a Blue Ridge High School Alumni, loved Wrestling and Track (Pole Vaulting). He liked snow skiing, water-skiing but most of all -- fishing! Whether a lake, the Potomac River or off the coast of Florida, Dennis was happiest in his boat with a couple fishing poles and a cooler full of beer.
After high school, he worked at the Hallstead Foundry. Then became a self-taught carpenter owning Hughes Home Improvements before moving to Virginia. There Dennis worked for Patner Construction Company as a Construction Superintendent working many sites in Washington D.C. including the White House and Dulles Airport. Dennis was very proud of the work he did.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later time.
