Dennis Johnson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Wasik Funeral Home - Warren on Jan. 12, 2026.
Dennis Wayne Johnson, of Richmond, passed away Saturday, January 10, 2026, at the age of 74. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on June 18, 1951, to the late Burton and Bernadine Johnson. Beloved husband of Margaret. Dearest father of Suzanne (David) Binkley, Daniel Wayne (Melissa Ann) Johnson, Melanie (Greg) Tomek, and Meagan (Otto) Kelly. Loving grandfather of Dillon Wayne Johnson, Emily Hope Johnson, Charlotte Paige Binkley, Lily Grace Binkley, Gabriel Charles Tomek, his jellybean Olivia Grace Johnson, Lucas Dennis Tomek, and James Daniel Kelly. Dear brother of Sharon, John, Darlene, Burton Jr., Denise, and the late Darrel. Also survived by many loving friends and family members.

Dennis was a devoted family man, a faithful servant of God, and a lifelong enthusiast of Harley Davidson motorcycles. After nearly 60 years of shared life, love, hardship and joy with Maggie their bond remains unbroken, carried forward until the day she holds his hand again. To his family, he was a bedrock of love and support. He cherished every moment spent with his loved ones, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, protection, and deep-rooted values. His early struggles set him on a search for meaning ultimately leading him to God changing the path his life would follow. His relationship with God was the compass that guided his life and provided him with such a strong spirit. Outside of his family and faith, Dennis found his joy in the garage. He was a Harley-Davidson man through and through, and whether he was taking them apart and reassembling them in the garage or even at the kitchen table, Dennis skilled hands kept them in meticulous shape. He was a truly loved man and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Visitation Thursday, January 15, 2026, from 2- 8 p.m. with a 6 p.m funeral service at the Wasik Funeral Home, Inc. 11470 Thirteen Mile Road (West of Hoover) Warren.
