Dennis Knapp Obituary

Dennis A. Knapp, 74, of Tuscarora, passed away on February 5, 2025 at home after a long hard-fought battle with lung disease and cancer.
Dennis was born November 23, 1950, to the late Warren and Irmalee (Brion) Knapp. He made his living working for himself as an interior carpenter and enjoyed working and building wooden projects for family and friends. Dennis liked to be outdoors and could often be found working in his garden or on the farm. He loved all of his pets very dearly. He was also a passionate drummer and played for many bands throughout his life.
Surviving Dennis is his daughter Marci (Dennis) Buckley of Painted Post NY; granddaughters Gracyn (Jon Shock) Buckley, and Ana Buckley (Jack Chapman); great granddaughter Audrey Chapman and great grandson arriving in August; lifelong significant other and best friend Helen Lynk; siblings Daisy (Bob) Casebeer of Elkland PA, John Knapp of Tuscarora NY, Marjorie (Don) Kloeber of Big Flats NY, Colleen (Glen) Terwilliger of Lindley NY, Marlene (Bill) Hillman of Campbell NY, Peggy (Perry) Doan of Osceola PA, and Theodore (Debbie) Knapp of Tuscarora NY, along with many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Dennis is predeceased by his brother Peter.
Following Dennis' wishes there will be no services. A Celebration of Life will be held this summer, date and location TBA.
Arrangements are with H.P. Smith & Son Inc., Funeral Home, 1607 Mainstreet, Woodhull, NY.
