Dennis Koronkiewicz, age 81, of Cleveland, Georgia, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, January 13, 2026. He was born on August 3, 1944, in Chicago, Illinois, to Benjamin and Frances Koronkiewicz.
After graduating from Mary D. Bradford High School in Kenosha, Wisconsin, Dennis attended the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He later moved to Coral Gables, Florida, where he pursued a career in law enforcement. Dennis dedicated more than 25 years of service to the Coral Gables Police Department, retiring with the rank of Lieutenant. Dennis was known for his loving and generous heart. He deeply cared for others and consistently placed the needs of those around him above his own.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Frances Koronkiewicz, and his brothers, John Koronkiewicz and Alan Koronkiewicz. He is survived by his sister, Sharon (Chet) Kwicinski; nieces Mary (Dale) Matthewson and Deborah (Russell) Moore; and his great-nieces, great-nephews and friends.
