Dennis Lafferty Obituary
Dennis married in 1973 and adopted Mark in 1974. He moved to Des Moines in 1975 where he often worked two jobs to support his family. Dennis was honorable and fiercely loyal to his family and friends. He was loved and respected by many. Dennis loved going to Knoxville to watch sprint car racing, watching NASCAR, automotive TV shows, cruising in his corvette, but most of all, loved being with his family.
He is survived by his son Mark (Jeanne) Lafferty; his loyal dog Sheeba; grandchildren Jessica Daniels, Shaun Peterson, and Scott Peterson; great-grandchildren Alexis, Marissa, Jaxon, Quentin, Kinnick, Simon, and Kason; sister Brenda (Tim) Pollard; nephew Jarod; niece Ashely; special friends Pat (Michelle) Medved and their children Brandon and Haleigh.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home & Crematory, 8201 Hickman Rd., Urbandale. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home & Crematory. To send flowers to the family of Dennis Lafferty please visit our Tribute Store.
