Dennis John Landro, age 81, of Almena, passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at his home under hospice care.
He was born in Duluth, Minnesota on July 20, 1942 to John and Lorraine (Hanks) Landro. He graduated from Denfeld High in 1960 and attended U.M.D.
On July 11, 1964, he married Carole Harbaugh in Duluth. He worked for Arrowhead Creamery, Met Life Sales and eventually, Lorillard Tabacco Regional Sales Manager while living in Bloomington, MN and Naperville, IL. Dennis retired after 31 years with Lorillard and then moved to Poskin Lake, Wisconsin. He enjoyed 25 years of retirement with many travels around the U.S.
Dennis was a lifetime member of the Elks, past president of the Dusty Trail Finders ATV Club, past president of the Poskin Lake Association, past member of the Poskin Lake Sportsmen's and served on the Board of Supervisors for the Town of Clinton.
He enjoyed golf with the Barron Golf League and loved to fish.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Carole of Almena; daughter, Lori (Bud) Montgomery of Fennville, MI and son, Daniel Landro of Braidwood, IL; grandson, Brendan (Annie) Montgomery of Brooklyn, NY and granddaughter, Alexa Montgomery of Chicago, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents and mother and father-in-law, Clarence and Donna Harbough.
Memorials can be made to the Mayo Cancer Research, Marshfield Hospice of Rice Lake or Caring Bridge.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
