Dennis Leane Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by The Mather-Hodge Funeral Home on Jan. 12, 2026.
Dennis M. Leane, 89, passed away on Sunday, January 4, 2026, at Greenwood House Senior Healthcare in Ewing, New Jersey.
He was born to Denis Leane and Hannah (O'Connor) Leane in the Bronx, New York on March 20,1936.
Dennis grew up in the Bronx and was a parishioner at St. Luke's Church. He was a graduate of St. Luke's School and Rice High School. He moved to Sunnyside, Queens in 1962, where he was a parishioner of Queen of Angels Parish. He regularly visited his twin sister Marie in New Jersey and, as was his way, her friends became his friends.
He worked in many areas of administration at Railway Express Agency, Wiliam Iselin, and CIT.
Those who knew Dennis in life, whether family, friends, co-workers, or those simply lucky enough to meet him, will always remember how he went through life with warmth and friendliness and love and a sense of humor.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents Denis and Hannah (O'Connor) Leane; his brother John Leane, who was a teaching brother of the Brothers of the Sacred Heart; and his brother-in-law John O'Driscoll.
Dennis is survived by his twin sister Marie O'Driscoll, his nephew Terence O'Driscoll and wife Eileen, his niece Maureen Freeman and husband Stephen, his great niece Colleen O'Driscoll, and his great nephew Rory Freeman.
A Visitation will be held from 9 am to 11 am on Friday January 16 at Mather Hodge Funeral Home, 40 Vandeventer Avenue, Princeton, NJ, 08540. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 am on Friday January 16 at St. David the King Catholic Church, 1 New Village Road, Princeton Junction, NJ 08550 and will also be streamed live at https://m.youtube.com/live/Z2pBxPkLZM8.
